Few Americans are aware that
the USDA also provides home loans.
That's right the United States Department of Agriculture has a home loan program.
Most people granger thoughts of farms and livestock when they think
of the
USDA.
With the help of the Rural Housing Service (RHS) an agency within the United States Department of Agriculture more families and individuals are able to
purchase
homes in designated rural areas and
small communities
USDA
Home Loan applicants are often confused
by the term "rural".
USDA
Rural Development
defines a rural area as including open
country and places with a population of
10,000 or less and towns and cities with a
population between 10,000 and 25,000
residents. Don't allow this to make you
apprehensive
prior to investigating the areas that are
considered eligible. There are allot of
areas that are considered "rural" that are
actually quite the opposite of that
designation. To see if your area qualifies
simply apply online or call us at 866 588-5533.
To be eligible, applicants must:
Have an adequate and dependable income;
Be a U.S. citizen, qualified alien, or be
legally admitted to the United States for
permanent residence;
Have an adjusted annual household income
that does not exceed the moderate income
limit established for the area. A family’s
income includes the total gross income of
the applicant, co-applicant and any other
adults in the household. Applicants may be
eligible to make certain adjustments to
gross income— such as annual child care
expenses and credits for each minor child in
order to qualify.
